The Art Museum at University of Kentucky
•Contemporary artist Natalie Frank delves into the fairytale genre; with images cleaved from the Grimm brothers. With her art she systematically interrogates the complexity of these tales and the way in which they address social and sexual mores that continue to have relevance today. Her exhibit will be available until July 21, 2016 and admission is free! (Tues-Thurs 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Saturday/Sunday from 12-5 p.m.)
•Ralph Eugene Meatyard and Duane Michals are each known for creating distinctive narratives using staged photography, often pushing their image-making toward other genres, including film, theater, and literature. The exhibit will be available until July 31, 2016 and admission is free. See above hours.
•Lawrence Tarpey uses a range of techniques: painting, drawing, scraping and etching to call forth the the imagery that populate his work. His work will also be available until July 31, 2016. See hours above.
Saturday, June 25th-2nd Annual Frankfort River Blast
Admission $5. Starting at 11 a.m. in River View Park (Frankfort, KY). Enjoy a 3K Race, paddling races, live music, food, beer garden, ART market, car show, kids activities, boat rides and tours, Flotilla fireworks, fishing tournament and much more!
Kentucky Horse Park Run-Walk Mondays
Run or walk at your own pace. It all starts at the KHP Visitor Center, every Monday, featuring local craft beers, food trucks, information tables and horse meet-and-greets. Kids, joggers/strollers and leashed dogs are welcome! Road bike enthusiasts can join the Bluegrass Cycling Club as they make their way around Lexington and Georgetown. Rides leave the park at 6pm.
New activities this year include massages, stretching, yoga and more! First time participants will receive a complimentary general admission pass to come back and visit the Kentucky Horse Park. From 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. Admission is FREE!
June 22-25 Rudy Fest Bluegrass Festival

Monday, June 27th at 8 a.m.-Rowan County Youth Art Camp
Registration $25. Class fee is $7 per day or $30 for the week. Fees include supplies needed for activities, a nut-free snack and a T-shirt.
